Some of the IT Support staff geared up to game for another Extra Life event!
Those who joined pledged to play games for 24 hours and raise funds for kids at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Together, the team raised almost $200 in donations! 100% of the donations raised by our team and other teams across the country go directly to local children’s hospitals.
Game Day 2019 was a huge success and raised over $9 million dollars! This money will aim to make miracles happen for families who desperately need them.
About Extra Life
Extra Life is a fundraiser that aims to unite thousands of gamers to play games and raise money during a 24 hour video game-a-thon. All fundraising efforts directly benefit local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across North America. Since its inception in 2008, it has raised over $50 million USD for sick and injured kids. Donations stay local to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.
The money that raised goes directly to your team’s chosen Children’s Miracle Network Hospital as “unrestricted funds”. This means that the hospital decides where and how to spend the money to ensure the dollars you raise make the biggest impact in the lives of the kids they treat. For example, the money you raise will go to fund research and training, purchase life-saving equipment and pay for uncompensated care.
